Following completion of a necropsy, it has been determined the dog was not shot, but rather, killed in a ‘mauling’ attack by one or more other dogs. #Boston25 https://t.co/rK6zArN01u
The doctor said in her report to police that it's not unusual for fatal dog-on-dog attacks to be mistaken for a shooting.
Police presented the findings to the dog's family, which also has additional dogs in the house, and the investigation is considered closed.
