BPD: Male shot, died at store in Dorchester late Friday night

One person died in a Friday night shooting in Dorchester.

Boston Police say they were called to a store at 218 Bowdoin Street at 11:45 for a person shot inside the building.

When they arrived, they found a male victim in his late twenties. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors say news of the shooting is shocking.

"It's so crazy and scary. I live on the second floor, I was wondering 'oh my god, what happened?' and I see what's gone down and that's sad," said a neighbor.

Police are still actively investigating the scene.

Police have not yet released the suspect's name, but are asking anyone who may have information regarding the case to call Homicide Detectives at 617-343-4470.
